Blind Spot to Happiness? Train Yourself to Notice
Happiness is a multi-layered thing and according to some research I read, there are a lot of skills involved – social, emotional, psychological. If you don’t have the skills, you may not get the results you want in order to be happy. But we all hear happiness is a state of mind too, what the heck does that mean? It means that if you need some happiness, you can train yourself to find the “little happies” in your life. Lots of little happies add up to a new orientation around the good things in life. A great way to shift your focus to the little happies is to give thanks and be grateful, even for the tiniest benefit or silver lining in something “bad”. Giving thanks puts you in touch with the generosity of the universe – you get more of what you give thanks for.
