Create Balance and Spring into Action!

Balance the clockworks of your life!Today on Spring Equinox, day and night are equal, so I’ve been thinking about what it means to create balance in my life.

Balance in a complex human life is not usually between just two things like a scale.  It is more like a clockworks, where all the pieces and parts are interconnected and influencing each other.  What are your clock’s gears?  Mine are spiritual practices, relationships, work in the Temple, volunteering, taking care of my body, and pleasure and play!  The last two are almost the most important and bring me the most balance.  I have to make sure I get enough pleasure and play to fuel the rest of my life.

I think about whether my clock’s gears are in an ideal balance and how balance feels to me.  Sometimes balance feels elusive, but that’s because for me it’s dynamic and ever-changing.  If things get too routine, ie, same proportion of each life experience over and over, I grow weary and stagnant.  So my clock parts are changing size regularly!  I feel contented and in balance as long as my body is comfortable and my mind is stimulated.

Life is a juggling act!  Staying in balance over time means I am in alignment with my highest good, I am on my path, fulfilling my purpose.  I look at my life choices daily and check with my guides when I am unsure whether a choice is in my highest good.

How do you create balance in your life?  What does your clock look like?  As you lay down to sleep tonight, ask your helper guides to calibrate your life’s clockworks.  You may wake up tomorrow with some ideas about making changes.  You’ll have plenty of energy to put those changes in place, because the life force of Spring is also in the air!

Many fresh Spring blessings to you and yours!

Thanks for the post! Recently I heard a great talk on Shift Network’s Winter of Wellness by Karen Salmonsohn. She talked about the difference between pleasure and happiness and making impulsive or growthful choices. I have realized that more than ever, to hold and be a channel for these higher vibrations, I MUST be in balance and alignment. Making happiness vs. pleasure choices really helps.

Using the clock model is helpful to look at the inner workings of the self. Another circular model involves the rotation through the seasons. Thanks for the visuals.
