I just returned from a very full trip to Oregon enjoying my favorite friends, family and summer activities. The last event I attended was Beloved, a very spiritual music festival. The vibration stayed high all weekend among the 2000+ people who attended to experience the visionary art, expansive workshops and especially the music – world flavors of kirtan, gospel, chant, evolving nightly into electronica worship in the “Church of Bass.” Beloved’s music inspired me in so many ways – for example, the heavy beat invited Bull Gorilla to dance with me, allowing me to send prayers to protect his tribes and homelands.
During another song, Spirit revealed where I withheld myself from receiving Divine Will…and I took courageous action to surrender these guarded areas of self; my reward was an ecstatic flooding of pure Divine Manifestation energy. This is an example of the Power of Surrender – with every courageous step we take to do our personal work, Divinity flows into us deeper, and we become a more powerful positive and loving influence in our families, work, and community.
